In the heart of the Middle Atlas Mountains, where hands weave tales from wool, our story began. We are Yassine and Zineb, a couple united by a love for art and heritage, who found our shared passion in the world of Moroccan rugs, especially in the magic of the "Beni Mrirt."

For us, they were never just carpets. Each piece carried the spirit of its maker and told a story that spans generations. Beni Mrirt rugs were originally created out of a need for warmth during the harsh mountain winters. Berber women would weave them with remarkable skill, using innovative abstract designs rooted in ancient Berber symbolism.

Our Passion for Beni Mrirt:

What distinguishes a Beni Mrirt rug is its exceptionally dense and soft texture, crafted from the finest quality wool. Every knot is tied by hand with great skill, resulting in a durable and luxurious work of art. We were captivated by this blend of design simplicity and high quality. They often feature a base of natural, undyed wool, adorned with geometric patterns and subtle color accents.

Our Mission:

We decided to share this love with the world. Our mission is to offer you more than just a rug, but a piece of Morocco's rich history and culture. We work directly with skilled artisans in the Middle Atlas region to ensure the preservation of traditional techniques and to support local communities. Every rug in our collection is a unique piece, carrying within it the warmth of the hands that wove it and the stories of the mountains where it was born.

We believe that for heritage to remain alive, it must breathe and evolve. Our vision for the future is to build a bridge between the authenticity of the past and the inspiration of the present. We aspire to:

  • Environmental Sustainability: Promote the use of natural dyes and sustainable materials at every stage of production to protect our environment and offer a healthy, safe product.

  • True Artisan Empowerment: We believe the artisan is the heart of our creativity, so we are committed to their sustainable empowerment. Our support goes beyond fair trade, as we launch dedicated initiatives that include:

    • Training Workshops: Organizing regular workshops to transfer the expertise of older craftswomen to the younger generation, ensuring these precious skills do not fade away.

    • Providing Materials & Tools: Assisting in sourcing the finest wool and necessary tools for artisans, ensuring product quality and relieving them of initial cost burdens.

    • Community Support Fund: Allocating a percentage of our profits to support development projects in the villages we work with, such as improving schools or backing local women's projects.

    • Celebrating the Maker: We aim for each rug to come with a tag telling the story of the craftswoman who wove it, to celebrate her effort and talent and bring you closer to the spirit behind each piece.
